Las Vegas Comes Alive!
The energy was electric on September 27th, 2025, as students crowded into the Main Gym for the biggest event of the season: Homecoming 2025! The atmosphere alone was unforgettable, but the incredible Las Vegas transformation took the night to a whole new level. If you missed it, you missed out — but don’t worry, we’re bringing you all the highlights from the dance floor, the photo booth, and our beloved students!
Not only was the DJ popping off, but the photo booth was a huge hit! As the clock hit 9:30, the line to the booth was filled with people eager to make this night unforgettable. The disco lights synchronized perfectly with the music, and the famous “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign caught everyone’s eye. Some groups even played poker on one of the tables inside the gym, adding to the Vegas vibe.
Half an hour into the dance, the floor was alive with movement — dance circles, sing-alongs, and laughter filled the room. The DJ kept the crowd hyped with hits like Baby by Justin Bieber, Golden from K-pop Demon Hunters, Gangnam Style by PSY, and FE!N by Travis Scott. With songs this popular, the dance floor was packed with students dancing and singing their hearts out.
There were different thoughts on HOCO from other students. Sophomore Arjun Anand says that “The homecoming is cool, and I think it’s pretty epic… there is nothing to not look forward to because I’m ready to bust a move out there!”. Junior Sitara Kumar says that “I personally love homecoming… [but] I’m not looking forward to the end of the night because I think it’s too early.” Another junior, Ben Wei (an ASB member) says that “I like the setup! I like the lighting! It’s really ambient in here, man, and I also like the DJ. He’s doing a great job right now!”. To round things off, Sofia Matveevici says “The decorations are so much cuter than last year, but it’s kinda empty though.”.
Sofia’s comment stood out — while some students enjoyed the night, a few students mentioned that the gym felt a little emptier than expected. Some who didn’t attend said they skipped the event because they preferred smaller gatherings or just weren’t into dancing.

Homecoming 2025 was a remarkable success, creating unforgettable memories for everyone who stepped onto the dance floor. From the Las Vegas-inspired transformation of the gym to the contagious energy of the crowd, the night perfectly captured the fun and unity of our school community — while also reminding us that every story has more than one side.
A massive thank you goes out to the Student Council and all the volunteers whose hard work made the beautiful decorations and seamless event flow possible. Now that the lights are off in Vegas, it’s time to start planning for the next big event — keep an eye on the school calendar for what’s next!
